The spirit of Carmel is recollection and silence, which lead to union with God, and beyond, to the most intimate union of the soul with God which is contemplation. This must be the aim of every daughter of Carmel.

Our Sisters are deeply indebted to our Mother Foundress, Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph for her courage and perseverance in following through with God`s Holy Will in her regard-in spite of almost insurmountable obstacles. But here we are today...Carmelite Sisters with a contemplative/active charism - fiercely loyal to the Church - and loyal to the special spirit of our Order and to all the beautiful Carmelite Saints that we are so privileged to have.
